Where I End, The World Begins
$ 350.00 – $ 1,750.00
At 7am, the world hasn’t quite woken up—but the light already knows what to do. In this scene, two kayakers glide quietly across Sydney Harbour, their yellow vessel slicing through blue morning waters. Behind them, the Sydney Opera House rises like a monumental dream, its shells catching the soft glow of the rising sun. The iconic structure appears both powerful and weightless, echoing the surreal balance I often search for in my work.
This photo is mine because it holds tension in harmony: the movement of the kayak versus the stillness of the building, the quiet of the hour versus the symbolic noise of a famous landmark. I didn’t stage this—just witnessed it—but it mirrors my ongoing fascination with capturing real-life poetry. Light, shape, human presence, and grand design all come together briefly here. That fleeting synchronicity is what I always chase, and it found me in this moment.
Offered as a fine art print, this piece is part of my ongoing exploration of how ordinary settings can become surreal, using light and composition to gently distort what we think we see.
